MOVING AND UNPACKING

SAGGINGOLDWOMANWITHHAT.jpg (SEE, EVERYTHING IS SAGGING)

I FORGOT HOW TIRING MOVING WAS.........I DON'T KNOW WHY, I JUST DID IT A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AGO AND THEN ABOUT 6 MONTHS PRIOR TO THAT..........GUESS I SHUT DOWN THAT PART OF MY MEMORY......ON PURPOSE.  SIGH.................

MY LEGS HURT, MY KNEES, FEET, ARMS, SHOULDER........OH HECK.....MY WHOLE BODY ACHES.............THANK GOD FOR ADVIL!!!

SLOWLY I AM GETTING EVERYTHING IN ITS PLACE, BUT IT TAKES TIME AND WORKING AND MOVING AT THE SAME TIME DOESN'T ALLOW MUCH TIME TO DO WHAT YOU REALLY "WANT" TO DO.  I CAN'T WAIT TO MOVE MY PIANO IN AND HAVE MY "CRAFT/MUSIC" ROOM COMPLETE.  THEN THERE ARE MY 2000 ANGELS I NEED TO SET OUT.

THE MATTRESS IS STILL ON THE FLOOR, BUT THAT IS OK FOR NOW.  IT IS SORT OF LIKE CAMPING OUT.  BUT GETTING OUT OF THE BED IS HARD...........I LIKE THAT SAYING "ROLLING OUT OF BED" CAUSE THAT IS WHAT I DO...........BUT YOU CAN ONLY ROLL SO FAR TILL YOU HAVE TO STAND UP AND GET INTO THE SHOWER, LOL.

I HAVE SOME PICTURES OF MY NEW PLACE AND AS SOON AS I GET THEM BACK FROM WALLY WORLD, I WILL PUT THEM HERE IN MY JOURNAL.  UNTIL THEN, I CAN ONLY DESCRIBE THE PLACE.

GOTTA SCOOT AND UNPACK SOME MORE.  SOMEONE PLEASE COME HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UTOPIA (A FAIRY TALE)

Once upon a time there was a girl who dreamed of being a princess.  Her thoughts often wondered to unicorns, castles and crystal sparkling waters.  She also dreamed she would

someday meet her fair prince and they would live happily ever after in their castle.

Of course, we all know that this scenario seldom

happens.  Our lives are structured by ourselves and

our circumstances.  There are many things that happen

that are beyond our control, as there are some we

can control.  Making bad choices in life can ruin

a life....if allowed to do so.  If we can reach deep inside

ourselves and find the strength that God has given us

at birth to draw on in times of need, we can often

turn the bad around and create something good from it.

I, personally, have made some really bad choices in my life,

many of which I truly regret.  Some of my bad decisions

have resulted in something truly great happening in my

life.  I consider it God’s Heavenly Sandpaper.  He uses

the bad decision to teach me something.

I have discovered that if I go into a new situation depressed and

defeated, the situation will become a bad experience.  If  I face

the situation with hope, determination and a good attitude, it

usually becomes a positive experience.

I am still learning daily how to live my life positively instead of

negatively.  It is a never ending struggle, but I realize that part

of my character is built from adversity.  I still have down days,

and wonder why should I even bother to get out of bed.  Then I

look outside my window and see the sunshine, the trees, the

children playing on the church school playground and I

remember why I should get up each and every day.......life.  God

gave us this life.  Would we take a precious gift from an earthly

friend and throw it away??  Trash it??  Most likely not.  Then

why God’s gift?  The most precious thing we have on this earth is

our life........live it to the fullest.  And when you don’t feel the

strength or hope to move forward, call on The Father to help and

guide you.

Each of us has what it takes inside.  Sometimes we just have to

humble ourselves and ask for help................

IT IS SUMMER........TIME FOR THE DREADED BATHING SUIT

this entry was sent to me from my friend, nita, in alabama as well as my last entry.  she is always sending me great stuff..... i miss her, even after 15-16 years...........

Bathing Suit Purchase

As we look forward to the summer season and time at the beach or pool, here is something to think about when shopping for that perfect bathing suit for our non-perfect figures.

In the 1950's, the bathing suit was designed for a woman with a mature figure: boned, trussed and reinforced, not so much sewn as engineered.  They were built to hold back and uplift and they did a good job.

Today's stretch fabrics are designed for the pre-pubescent girl with a figure carved from a potato chip.

The mature woman has a choice:  she can either front up at the maternity department and try on a floral suit with a skirt, coming away looking like a hippopotamus who escaped from Disney's Fantasia, or she can wander around every department store trying to make a sensible choice from what amounts to a designer range of fluorescent rubber bands.

What choice did I have?  I wandered around, made what I thought was a sensible choice and entered the chamber of horrors known as the fitting room.

The first thing I noticed was the extraordinary tensile strength of the stretch material.  The Lycra used in bathing suits was developed, I believe, by NASA to launch small rockets from a slingshot, which gives the added bonus that if you manage to actually lever yourself into one, you are protected from shark attacks.  The reason for this is that any shark taking a swipe at your passing midriff would immediately suffer whiplash.

I fought my way into the bathing suit, but as I twanged the shoulder strap in place, I gasped in horror.

My bosom had disappeared!

Eventually, I found one boob cowering under my left armpit.  It took awhile to find the other one.  At last I located it flattened beside my seventh rib.  The problem is that modern bathing suites have no bra cups.  So the mature woman has to wear her bosom spread across her chest like a speed bump.  I realigned my speed bump and lurched toward the mirror to take a full view assessment.  The bathing suit fit all right, but unfortunately, it only fit those bits of me willing to stay inside it.  The rest of me oozed out rebelliously from top, bottom, and sides.  I looked like a lump of Play Dough wearing undersized cling wrap.

As I tried to work out where all those extra bits had come from, the pre-pubescent salesgirl popped her head through the curtains and said, "Oh, there you are!" admiring the bathing suit.  I replied that I wasn't so sure about it, and asked what else she had to show me.  I tried on a cream colored crinkled one that made me look like a ball ofmasking tape and a floral two piece which gave me the appearance of an oversized napkin in a napkin ring.

I struggled into a pair of leopard skin bathers with ragged frill and came out looking like Tarzan's Jane, pregnant with triplets and having a rough day.

I tried on a black number with a midriff and looked like a jellyfish in mourning.

I tried on a bright pink one with such a high cut leg that I thought I would have to wax my eyebrows to wear it.

Finally, I found a suit that fit:  a two-piece affair with a shorts-style bottom and a loose blouse type top.  It was cheap, comfortable, and bulge friendly, so I bought it.

When I got home I read the label which said: "Material may become transparent in water."  I'm determined to wear it anyway.  I'll just have to learn to do the breast-stroke in the sand.

HAVE FUN PICKING OUT "YOUR" NEW BATHING SUIT!

FOR MY FRIENDS

the following was sent to me from a friend in alabama, whom i haven't seen in 15-16 years, but who still keeps in touch via email........and through our hearts.........i don't know who wrote this originally, or i would give credit.........but i do know it touched me and i hope it does you as well.

i am dedicating this story to all those friends out there who have stuck with me throughout my tough times and have never wavered in supporting me no matter what...............

A Lesson From Horses

Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it.
From a distance, each looks like every other horse.
But if you stop your car, or are walking by,
you will notice something quite amazing.

Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind.
His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him.

This alone is amazing.

If nearby and listening, you will hear the sound of a bell.
Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field.  Attached to her halter is a small bell.
It lets her blind friend know where she is, so he can follow her.

As you stand and watch these two friends, you'll see how she is always checking on him, and that he will listen for her bell and then slowly walk to where she is, trusting that she will not lead him astray.

When she returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, she stops occasionally and looks back,
making sure her friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.

Like the owners of these two horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges.

He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need.

Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by the little ringing bell of those who God places in our lives.

Other times we are the guide horse, helping others see.

Good friends are like this..........You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.

Please listen for my bell and I'll remember to listen for yours..........
