PETS, NOT DRESS UP DOLLS

i might get some flack from this one, but here goes...............

my place of employment is next door to a PETSMART store.  so we get quite a few "pets" in our store.  mostly they are shopping for the latest in petwear in the stuffed animal section of our store.  their owners go to PETSMART and see the price of a blue jean skirt and then rush over to our establishment and buy one possibly even better for quite a bit less.

last night at work i spotted a shitzuh (sp?) in her owner's embrace and had to approach the adorable pooch.  of course, as usual, i walked up to the human and said "i'm sorry, but you can't bring pets in here.........unless you let me pet them and/or hold them!"  the human was about to get riled until i finished my sentence, and then she handed "ginger" over to me.  ginger proceeded to wash my entire face and neck........hey, i won't need a bath for a week!.

ginger was still a puppy, and smelled really good, and seemed well taken care of.  but then the woman started trying things on ginger from our bear dept.  i have a problem with dressing your pets..........mainly because the poor animals usually look depressed, frightened and confused when wearing the latest style.  but even though i (along with jay leno) may not agree with this, i have to admit ginger looked really happy for all the attention.  of course, ginger is still young and just likes any attention.

the owner tried on two backpacks (the pink one was adorable, and would hold all of ginger's stuff), a pink hooded sweatshirt with ear holes, and a denim skirt with bows.  after much twisting and turning to see how it looked, the owner bought the outfit, but not the backpacks.

unfortunatley, ginger was seen leaving the store doing a britney spears.........no panties, and even no skirt........   sigh............this world is going to the dogs...............

Just like Britney, spend all that money on accessories, and forget a pair of $2 panties.  Very cute story.

I thought dog wear was a harness for a working dog lol or maybe a stylish collar the idea of  a small dog in a persons outfit must be both cute and strange
I think in some ways if it is to keep the animal warm due to cutting what nature put on them off.
that would make sense but i am sure i agree dear friend that a dog's life is not goochi or how ever someone would spell it
lol not a fashion diva sorry
so have a great day and thanks for the quick pick me up
